Meet Tom, avid wakeboard/wakeskate fan and resident of Utah. He is joining the SLWK writers (not riders) and will be posting content here on the site about Utah’s little wake scene. I’d like to welcome Tom, and to go along with it he even interviewed himself. Impressive. I look forward to Tom’s contribution, his first post will be dropping on the site friday - he did get his last question right.

SLWK

Do you wake up in the mornings itching to write about local wakeboarding? Are you annoyed by our posts on SLWK and think you can do better? Or are you just wanting to get more involved with whatever it is we do and contribute to the small Utah wake scene?

In all seriousness Chase and I are always open/wanting to the help of others with SLWK. It is something for Utah wakeboarding, and to help spread the sport throughout the little group of riders here in Utah, and I’m sure you could do better than the both of us. Shoot us an email at SLWKBLOG@GMAIL.COM or leave a comment below if you would want to join us at SLWK at any capacity. We’ll be happy for the addition to the team. (note, SLWK does not make any money, and most likely will not.. ever..)

Marine Products moved up big time in the wakeskate world, they ordered in some of the industries most solid boards from probably the most influential company. Remote first showed its face almost 5 years ago in the wakeskate industry, and has been a game changer from day 1. Now made from the same manufacturer as wakeboard favorite Slingshot Wakeboards, Remote wakeskates are quality to be admired. With their second graphic release in 2012 already, Remote has different influential movie star characters in their decks line up.

The season has begun finally – for Chase and I at least. Last Saturday we had a good session on our flat bar. 10 years ago this summer was our first venture into our favorite canal, and 10 years later a flat bar is as fun as ever. Our rail building has improved since that first rail 10 years ago, and now we’re lucky to have this little guy to ride on. Here are some pictures from Saturday. Send in your photos/videos of riding going on and we’ll throw them up!
